We continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on ABC this summer. Our top priority is the health and well-being of employees, clinicians, and our ABC family.

Due to the “stay at home” order in Oregon, the ABC admin team is working from home as we prepare for the 32nd annual American Band College in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. At this point, we plan for the event to continue as planned, but we are looking at plan B, C and beyond for this summer’s activities. If you have any questions, the staff is still accessible via phone and email.

ABC Fees

Please feel secure in making your deposit this year as we will refund your money or carry it over until next year if, for any reason, you are not able to attend ABC this summer.

Deadlines

  • Due to the uncertainty related to school closures, CWU has extended the deadline for new ABC student registration until May 1.
  • The registration at Bandworld.org remains at May 1.
  • Financial aid deadlines remain the same.
  • 2nd/3rd years are already admitted, so they don't need to worry about this CWU change.
  • If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected]

RE#2

If you are finished recording your videos, that is great! If not, don't panic. Here are some ideas that you might consider:

  • Get all of your score study and lesson planning done now.
  • Be prepared for a short turnaround time to get the recordings finished.
  • Prepare like you were rehearsing an honor band. 1-3 days.
  • For those that are not able to record due to the school being closed for the rest of the year, CWU has agreed to allow us to give an IP grade. This will allow you to complete the project next fall as long as it is turned in by Dec. 1. Contact Ted Burton with any questions you may have.

We hope you are safe, healthy and as comfortable as possible during these uncertain times.
