Combining MP3 Auditions

  1. Record your first audition and then save it to your desktop or other folder by clicking on "Save As..." button. (Be sure to save it to a location you can easily find after the second audition is recorded.)
  2. Record your second audition and then click "Add to File..." to combine both auditions. Once you click on "Add to File..." it will ask you to find the first audition.

WARNING: It is not possible to combine two MP3s, with SmartMusic, after you save them separately. You MUST add the second audition to the first one IMMEDIATELY AFTER you record the second solo.

If you have two separate solo files, you can still combine them with the help of programs like Garage Band (Mac) and Audacity (PC or Mac).

Note: Only one complete MP3 recording, with both auditions, can be uploaded at WIBC Registration. If you upload the first audition, and then try to upload the second audition, only the second one will be with your file. Only upload ONE complete MP3 file!

ALL INSTRUMENTS: It is okay to use All-Northwest or All-State Music instead of the WIBC audition music via SmartMusic. However, all auditions must be combined into one MP3 audition and uploaded to www.bandworld.org by Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
