How do I register for WIBC as an Honor Band student?

1. Click on "WIBC Honor Bands" Tab and select "HB Apply & Register" at the www.bandworld.org home screen.

2. If you already have an account with WIBC, enter your email address and password to sign in.

3. If you are creating a new account, click on the "Register" button. You will need to enter your email address and create a Password. If you don't have an email address, you will need to create a valid email with Yahoo or Google Gmail. DO NOT use your band director's email address for your student registration.



4. After you Email Address and Password, click on the "Next" button to enter your Personal Info.

5. Enter your school info on the next screen:

  • Click on "Click Here to Choose School." Type in part of your school name. Choose your school from the list. The less you type, the more choices you will get from the list.
  • If your school is not listed, click on the "Click HERE to add a school " button and a pop-up screen will let you enter your school's info

6. Audition Information Section:

  • Answer the question about your participation in last year's WIBC.
  • Choose your main instrument on the pull-down menu.
  • Select your method of audition:
  • Upload both MP3 auditions ($10.00 audition fee)
  • CLICK HERE for uploading help
  • CLICK HERE for audition recording help using SmartMusic software

Note: When you upload your MP3 auditions, you will see the message that says please wait as MP3 is uploaded.

7. Checkout:

  • Select a payment method ("credit card" or "my school/sponsor is paying for me")
  • Enter all credit card info (if using that payment method) and click on "Complete Checkout"
  • Or, choose "my school/sponsor is paying for me" and then click on "Complete Checkout"


  • If you choose "my school/sponsor is paying for me", make sure that your band director pays for your audition. If school is paying by purchase order, then FAX the P.O.# to (541) 482-5030. You will not be considered for one of the honor bands without a copy of the P.O. at our office (must be in our office by 10/14/11).
  • If your school is paying by ONE check, then make sure that our office has payment by 10/14/11. (No personal checks accepted. Only ONE school check will be accepted for student auditions).
  • If you choose a credit card, enter the numbers and expiration date carefully.
8. After a couple of minutes, you will see a message that says, "User registered successfully." The screen will also have a detailed list of all your info plus a web confirmation code. Print this screen for your records.

9. Shortly after your successful registration, you will receive an email with all of your honor band information.
