This tenth NOVOS Radio/TV Program features another of the world's finest band composers.

Material for this presentation came from a humorous story that Francis shared with us at the Midwest Band Clinic in 2002 plus some excerpts of him conducting at the final concert of the 2006 Western International Band Clinic Honor Bands in Seattle, Washington.

The 46-minute audio program is a collection of compositions by Francis McBeth.

The 3-minute video program features him conducting at WIBC plus a short interview at the Midwest.

Text

There are 2 programs in NOVOS-10: (1) VIDEO INTERVIEW/MUSIC PROGRAM and the(2) CONCERT BAND MUSIC PROGRAM.

The idea for this series is based on Ira Novoselsky's ongoing activity creating interesting, complete programs for traditional radio. When Bandworld Magazine went exclusively online in 2004, it became obvious that the Internet provides a way to get to a much broader audience. NOVOS was chosen in honor of Ira, who has contributed in many ways to the development of Bandworld Magazine and the American Band College Center for Research.
