Coups de Vents Jury for Quarter Finals:

Outstanding American Band College (ABC) master's degree student of the year, Thomas Cox, was invited to judge at the quarter finals of the Coups de Vents Competition. Pictured above, Tom Cox (left) with Coups de Vents Organizing Director, Philippe Langlet.

Tom Cox and the other four jury members chose eleven pieces to continue on to the semi-finals of the composer competition. The following pieces will be heard by the judges in the next segment of Coups de Vents:

Semi-finals • November 25-26, 2006

Coups de Vents Jury for Semi-finals:

- Scott McKee (USA)
- Igor Savinov (Russia)
- Anatoly Umanets (Russia)
- Shu-Han Yeh (Taiwan)

The seven person jury listened to 11 new compositions and chose 6 pieces to move onto the final competition. The 6 pieces that moved onto the final competition were:

- Gaudi
- The Dance of Pheonix: Impressions of Kyoto
- Traffic
- Two Bacchanalia
