Completed in several stages of judging with many concerts presenting the top pieces from the more than 140 entries, Coups de Vents held in various cities near Lille and Dunkerque, France in the spring and summer of 2004. Based on concepts developed by Philippe Langlet at the original Coups de Vents in Le Havre in the late 1980's, the next edition will take place in 2006.

PLAY 2004 Video Excerpts

The title can be translated "At the source of the Nile" and includes a Ugandan section fitting the Coups de Vents - Lille 2004 competition's World Music theme. Thierry Muller's composition took third prize. . (Link to publisher? Click score.)
