Building ABC’s Future One brick at a time for music education

The Al & Gladys Wright Center for Music Education

We are excited to announce The Al & Gladys Wright Center for Music Education building project. The 10,000 square foot building will serve ABC candidates and local music groups with its large rehearsal hall, classrooms and the ABC Research Center library with over 50,000 pieces, conductor scores and recordings.

"The Music Makers"

In concert with the building announcement, we are also releasing a brand new book dedicated the these two icons of our profession. Al & Gladys Wright, who have donated $500,000 toward construction of The Al & Gladys Wright Center for Music Education and Research, have also given permission to digitize their 750-page book called “The Music Makers.” if you join the Brick Campaign and donate $200 or more, you’ll receive an online copy of this beautifully presented historic gem about their 191 years of band directing! Project Timeline

The building planning stage has already begun and funding is the next step. We plan to start construction in early 2017 and move-in later in the year.
